Police appeal following sexual assault

Yesterday - Wednesday 14th Sept, at approximately 5 pm, a serious sexual assault is alleged to have taken place in Central Park, for which police are urgently seeking witnesses.
The suspect is described as being an 18 year old Asian male, 5ft 7 inches in height and of a muscular build.
The suspect had black hair and was wearing a white top and jeans.
It is alleged that the suspect dragged his 14 year old victim in to the woods in the park. As a result the police will be putting extra patrols around the central park area.
Any one with any information is urged to contact the police directly on this matter.

In a statement just released by Humberside Police, Detective Sergeant Nicky Miller has told press :
"In relation to a reported sex offence on the evening of Wednesday, September 14, I would like to reassure the public that a number of inquiries have taken place and it has now become apparent that this incident was not a stranger rape as initially reported to the police."
