New NLC Councillor Blog

02 March 2011 by Paul Rhoades

Well, It's not new as such, but it looks like Councillor Swift has dusted the cobwebs off his wordpress account and recommenced blogging. Cllr Swift if one of the Labour Councillor's for Bottesford, and his blog entitled "Cllr Steve Swift's Bottesford Blog" deals specifically with his ward of Bottesford. Today's post deals with complaints he has recieved from residents on Valley-View regarding speeding motorists. He's also recently posted about increased bus services in this area of town, and a very interesting article which highlights what the last Tory council got up to in Scunthorpe while also shedding light on the Club 2000 controversy. If you live in the Bottesford area of Scunthorpe Cllr Swift's blog is worth a read. If there are any other blogs locally, please drop a comment or link on this article and we'll check them out and give a quick summary if you like. We'd be particularly interested to hear from any Conservative Councillors in the area who blog, so far we are unaware of them but if they exist we'd love to feature them too.

Mission Statement

Visit Scunthorpe is North Lincolnshire's only truly independent, non commercial, community news web site.

Established in January 2010 we have lots of members with a wide range of views who all contribute independently with articles of their own.

You won't find dozens of adverts covering our site, or some poor attempt to promote local business services under the guise of offering a community service.

Here on VisitScunthorpe we are interested in just one thing, building an online community which is representative of the people of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire and the surrounding area.

Paul. Founder Visit Scunthorpe.

How it Works

Once you've completed the sign up then you are free to post and comment on well... pretty much anything, we just have some basic civilised rules to prevent people from inciting violence, hatred or making individual attacks.
