The eight year old Vue Cinema, which originally opened as the UCI, has launched conference facilities that are competitively priced with a capacity of up to 295 delegates. It is hoped the facilities on offer will become an alternative location and choice for local businesses to deliver their events and showcase their business requirements.
The conference facilities swung into action on Wednesday 9th February, when the complex hosted a seminar for local paint and coatings producer and supplier Jotun Paints.
The launch of the new facilities come on the back of presentations in November 2009 to thousands of Corus (now Tata) employees and contractors. They were invited to attend a 90-minute briefing session called Weathering the Storm which ran twice a day from Monday to Friday for two weeks designed to spell out how the 2,000-acre site is to survive the current global economic meltdown.

Visit Scunthorpe is North Lincolnshire's only truly independent, non commercial, community news web site.
Established in January 2010 we have lots of members with a wide range of views who all contribute
independently with articles of their own.
You won't find dozens of adverts covering our site, or some poor attempt to promote local business services under the guise of offering a community service.
Here on VisitScunthorpe we are interested in just one thing, building an online community which is representative of the people of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire and the surrounding area.
