Gardening Competition

The areas biggest Social Landlord, North Lincolnshire Homes is to launch their third annual gardening competition with a chance to win �100 worth of High Street vouchers. North Lincolnshire Homes Cole Street Centre The competition is open to all their tenants and leaseholders and this year they are looking to beat last years number of entries of sixty participants. The are numerous categories in which people can enter so it doesn't matter if entrants have a large garden of just a small balcony, even hanging baskets are welcome. The catergories for this year are; Best Community Garden For groups or individuals who have created a garden for their community to enjoy. Best Container, Window Box or Hanging Basket Ideal for those with limited space. Best Kept Garden For a beautiful front or back garden. Creative use of Space For themed gardens including vegetable, wildlife or organic. Also this year there will be a special award presented for that gardener, young or old, who stands out from the crowd. There's plenty of time for residents to get growing as the deadline for entries is Friday 24th June 2011. Entry forms can be found in North Lincolshire Homes Spring edition of Key News which is currently being delivered to tenants and leaseholders.

Visit Scunthorpe is North Lincolnshire's only truly independent, non commercial, community news web site.

Established in January 2010 we have lots of members with a wide range of views who all contribute independently with articles of their own.

You won't find dozens of adverts covering our site, or some poor attempt to promote local business services under the guise of offering a community service.

Here on VisitScunthorpe we are interested in just one thing, building an online community which is representative of the people of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire and the surrounding area.

How it Works
