So what’s our Elliot doing since he got out of jail early?

Indeed what options are there for a disgraced former MP abandoned by his political party, and jailed for fraud?

Many former MP's become lobbyists or take up directorships or chairmanships of companies, charities or other NGO's. But who would have a former MP who also holds the some what dubious accolade of being the first person sacked from the Privy Council in 90 years?

On the 20th September, after serving just one quarter of his sentence for fraud, Elliot Morley was released under licence.

Having been convicted of false accounting, Elliot was not entitled to his £64k golden goodbye which he would have received if he had retired (which sources claim he had always intended to do so) in 2010.

Well, it would seem that just two days after leaving prison, Elliot Morley engaged the services of a certain Gerald Shamash and instructed him to begin proceedings against the News of The World for guess what… Yep, that’s right Phone Hacking.

Our investigations have revealed that Gerald Shamash confirmed in September that he had been instructed to commence legal proceedings on behalf of Elliot Morley and Alastair Campbell against News International in respect of allegations of Elliot Morley’s phone being hacked.

Guess that answers out question as to what Elliot will do for cash now he has a criminal record. Download out Elliot Morley E-Book for an overview of his background, career and of course his appointment as the poster boy of MP fraud.
