Club 2k rumours/scandal

21 February 2010 by fans64

CLUB 2000 WILL BE DEMOLISHED WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS AT A COST TO COUNCIL TAX PAYERS OF ROUGHLY 200K TO BUILD NOTHING !!!!! IN ITS PLACE WILL BE SOME SORT OF GARDEN OR OTHER SUCHLIKE . THE LABOUR COUNCIL BOUGHT CLUB 2K FOR NEAR ENOUGH 1 MILLION POUND , AGAIN PAID BY US !! WHEN WILL IT STOP ??? THE PODS ??? THE BATHS ??? HOW MUCH MORE ****E CAN THE HONEST COUNCIL TAX PAYERS TAKE ?? NO MORE ps I'm led to believe the the funding for knocking down club 2k comes from the highways agency , funding that is meant for repairs for the roads !! I may be wrong in this statement but there is some truth in it, some bent council officials somewhere I believe

I spoke to one of the reporters at the E.T. today to see if they knew anything further about this, the short answer is that they don't but they did say that they would look in to it and let me know. Having not heard back from them I am assuming that "letting me know" consists of either publishing the story them selves, or ignoring me if this does turn our to be untrue. I would like to thank Hendy from Iron Bru for giving us and the local rag a chance to plagiarise this story.

We have this,The baths and now Houses in Crosby bought and demolished with no firm plan to actually put anything in their place. This council is systematically dismantling Scunthorpe at an alarming rate. The only building that is dangerous and worthy of dismantling belongs to a councillor and yet they haven't noticed the state of it?

Club 2000 has not cost the North Lincolnshire Council tax payer a single penny. It was bought under the previous administration not Labour but the funding came from Yorkshire Forward as have the running costs. Those costs will transfer to the council tax payer in 2012, as such the council has requested it be demolished before that happens. Its sad but its a fact, the building has become a white elephant.

Shame its such a while elephant and Yorkshire Forward's money is being squandered. Im amazed at council attitude of knocking it down because its going to cost them money, the question we should be asking of NLC is why has no effort been made by them to put it to a common good? Personally, knocking it down's a bit defeatest in my opinion.
