Central Park Cafe To Open

North Lincolnshire Council have announced the newly built cafe pavilion in Central Park is to open in time for the school holidays. To be called The Nutshell Cafe is made out of a special steel called Corten Steel supplied from the local steelworks, it's a weathering steel and over a period of time gives a rusty effect in appearance. The Nutshell Cafe will provide light refreshment's, managed toilets and baby changing facilities which is hoped will encourage extended visiting throughout the year for associated facilities such as the play area. It has an extended hard standing to its front allowing the accommodation of a cafe terrace with views onto the play area. It's also located close to the play area for ease of access and linkages to the car park and wider park. The structure is designed to be the focus for the new heart of Central Park. But there are plans to trial a lunchtime opening between 11.30am and 1.30pm weekdays. During the summer months it also be used to distribute golfing equipment for use on the putting course which is established during the school summer holidays. The Nutshell Cafe pavilion is aimed be a focal point along the boulevard that will draw visitors into the park from the nearby Pods Sports Academy .
