User Tracking on Visit Scunthorpe

Hey! It's not a scary as it sounds, and besides we only use your display name!
Just added a useful little function to VisitScunthorpe.Com which provides some basic historical information regarding user's posts and comments.
At the bottom of the home page you'll now find a link called Posts by Member. Clicking this link will give you a list of all current members, how many articles (posts) they've contributed and how many comments they've made on others articles.
There's also a Points column on the right. The points are calculated based on the feedback that each user's articles has been given by different readers.
If a reader leaves a comment on an article with a status of "Great!" then that author gets 10 points, OK carries 5 points, poor 0 points, -1 for offensive content and -2 for a removal request!
More importantly, you can click a user's name and get a complete historical list of all articles posted and comments made, useful if you need to trawl back and find something.

How it Works
If you would like to have the ability to add articles and comments to Visit Scunthorpe then all you need to do is sign up with a valid email address for an account. This is free, your email address is confidential and we don't send out spam emails.
Once you've completed the sign up then you are free to post and comment on well... pretty much anything, we just have some basic civilised rules to prevent people from inciting violence, hatred or making individual attacks.
If you have a web site or directory which covers either independent news and blogging, or is related to North Lincolnshire or Scunthorpe then get in touch to set up a reciprocal link.
