The Pods - July Opening

North Lincolnshire Council have announced The Pods 'Sports Academy' will open in July on a date yet to be given. The keys to to developement were handed over towards the end of last month and a provisional date in June being given for its opening.
The £21 million structure which has been funded by Sport England, North Lincolnshire Council and Yorkshire Forward contains;
- Eight lane, 25 metre swimming pool
- Teaching pool
- Six court sports hall
- 85+ station gym over two levels with Life fitness gym equipment
- Two fitness studios offering 50+ classes per week
- Sauna, steam room and spa
- Creche
- Cafe
- Meeting rooms
As part of the opening a package of pre-opening offers will be available from the marketing suite at Scunthorpe Leisure Centre until Friday 10th June 2011 or from The Pods reception from Monday 13th June to Thursday - 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm & Friday 17th - 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm.
