If you go to one of the Scunthorpe Memories reunions, why not post photos of the night in our gallery?

The Scunthorpe Memories Facebook group are pleased to announce the date for their next 80s reunion night in conjunction with Henrys nightclub on Doncaster Road.

It will be on Friday, July 8th, from 8pm until late.

The Scunthorpe Memories group was formed by Scunthorpe-born Paul Stebbing on his return to Scunthorpe in 2009 after 11 years away. It is now administered by Paul and Kevin Kaye.

With nearly 5000 members, it remains by far the biggest Facebook group devoted to Scunthorpe. Memories and photos are added on a daily basis.

The group staged two reunion nights in 2010 - one devoted to the 80s and one to the 90s.

The 80s night in particular proved very popular, so they have decided to do a re-run. The venue is the same as last year, although 'Love2Love' has now become
'Henrys', in tribute to the legendary Henry Afrikas that we all remember.

It is hoped to see as many people as possible on the night. The entry price has been slashed by half since last year - it's just £3 on the door to get in.

The club are also promising drinks promotions and hope to invent a new cocktail especially for the night.

Perhaps you love 80s music? Perhaps you grew up in the town? Perhaps you want to see old friends again? Or perhaps you just want to meet new people and have a great night? Scunthorpe Memories look forward to seeing you there.

Mission Statement

Visit Scunthorpe is North Lincolnshire's only truly independent, non commercial, community news web site.

Established in January 2010 we have lots of members with a wide range of views who all contribute independently with articles of their own.

You won't find dozens of adverts covering our site, or some poor attempt to promote local business services under the guise of offering a community service.

Here on VisitScunthorpe we are interested in just one thing, building an online community which is representative of the people of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire and the surrounding area.

Paul. Founder Visit Scunthorpe.

How it Works

If you would like to have the ability to add articles and comments to Visit Scunthorpe then all you need to do is sign up with a valid email address for an account. This is free, your email address is confidential and we don't send out spam emails.

Once you've completed the sign up then you are free to post and comment on well... pretty much anything, we just have some basic civilised rules to prevent people from inciting violence, hatred or making individual attacks.
