Robbery At East Common Lane Post Office

Two people were injured in Scunthorpe today after a man who was thought to be armed robbed a local Post Office.

Police were called to the Post Office on East Common Lane shortly before 2.50pm today.
A male is said to have entered the store and stole an as yet unknown amount of cash.
A man and a woman in the Post Office at the time were injured, they have been taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital for treatment.
The Post Office is current sealed off a crime scene officers carry out an investigation.

The police helicopter was in attendance as the offender is thought to have run away from the Post Office on foot. Officers are currently searching a number of locations in an attempt to find him including the Market Hill and Abert Marsden Court areas.

A number of people have contacted police with information.
