Police Appeal For Witnesses

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision that happened on Ashby Road, at the junction with Old Brumby Street, Scunthorpe at about 11:49hrs on Sunday 20th November 2011.

A green coloured Mercedes Sprinter van was travelling south on Ashby road, when it was involved in a collision with a silver and blue coloured Rohn motorcycle.

 

The driver of the van, a 57-year-old man from Scunthorpe, was not injured in the collision.

 

The rider of the motorcycle, a 35-year-old man was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital. At the time of the incident his injuries were not thought to be serious. However since the incident his condition has deteriorated and he currently remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call Humberside Police tel 101 quoting LOG 278 20 November 2011.
