We've started our first Photo Gallery, and like everything on this site its open to public contribution. Here's what we are trying to do: We'd like to build up a freely available public resource of photographs from in and around Scunthorpe. This can also include Scunthorpe related trips and excursions - for example if the Iron are playing away, lets see some photos! Photos should be related to locations in and around Scunthorpe, or events in Scunthorpe. What I'd like to try to do is collect just common every day photos that describe and illustrate life in Scunthorpe today. So send us photos of your house / street / where you work. I'd also like to document building projects and events which change the shape, structure or image of Scunthorpe, so new road schemes, before and after building projects that kind of thing. What would be nice would be to get a range of different contributions from in an around the town. I will happily include anything in North Lincolnshire, so this can include Brigg and other areas. I've drawn the line at including Hull even though I've got some excellent roof top pictures from the HRI, and a few other high rises over there. Once I've got the automated version written, you'll be able to upload directly in to a series of pre-defined categories.
