International Peace Day

Tuesday 21 September in Central Park, Scunthorpe at 4pm
The Chief Executive of Yorkshire and Humber Faith Forum - Reverend Dr Inderjit Singh Bhogal OBE, will lead a multi-faith service asking all members of society to come together to pray for peace and unity not only throughout the world, but also in our homes, communities and schools.
Children attending the 20-21 Visual Art Center's Saturday workshop have made some large origami birds of Peace which will be carried to the service and placed at the entrance of Pitwood House.
Denise Lawton, chair of the North Lincolnshire Multi Faith Partnership, said:
"Despite the atrocities that continue to take place world-wide, we can hope and pray for peace. There are some key speakers who will address the service who I�m sure will want to make some very poignant messages."
