Fire at BOS Plant

A fire broke out at BOS Plant on the Corus Steelworks on Friday afternoon at around 3:30 pm.
4 fire appliances attended the incident which was quickly brought under control.
The fire started on the 3rd floor of BOS plant and involved pallets and packaging containing brickettes, the cause of the fire has not yet been made public.
Production was halted temporarily as electrical contractors worked late in to the night to return power to the plant.
The main damage was caused to electrical cables running in an overhead conduit which was melted by the fire.
