turn up, £4 class.
From the age of three I was always dancing around the living room so my parents decided to take me to dance lessons. Ballet, tap and modern dance lessons became a big part of my life, performing in many dance festivals and productions throughout Lincolnshire and East Riding.
During my time at Joyce Masons school of dance I passed Royal academy of dance exams, and modern and tap Imperial society of teachers exams as well as becoming a Yorkshire scholarship at York, where I attended weekly ballet lessons.
Working towards a degree in public relations and communications in my early twenties, meant that dance took a back seat in my life and it wasn’t until I turned thirty that I really started to dedicate some time to dance and fitness again.
I really enjoyed the way fitness and dance made me feel after a class and started to notice the improvements they were having to my body shape and confidence.
I received a Pilates DVD for Christmas one year and found that this style of fitness really does work. It’s a great way to increase muscle tone, flexibility and reduce stress. It’s easy to follow and can be carried out a range of different levels to suit all of us.
I looked around for local Pilate’s classes and soon realised that I wanted to be able to teach and show others how Pilates can change the way you feel and look.
I completed a diploma in mat Pilates fundementals in February 2012 and started teaching at the beginning of April in the area.
I hope that my classes offer a Pilates style for every one of all physical levels, if you would like to find out more simply visit www.emmaspilates.co.uk or www.facebook.com/emmaspilates. Or call me on 07854382062.

Visit Scunthorpe is North Lincolnshire's only truly independent, non commercial, community news web site.
Established in January 2010 we have lots of members with a wide range of views who all contribute
independently with articles of their own.
You won't find dozens of adverts covering our site, or some poor attempt to promote local business services under the guise of offering a community service.
Here on VisitScunthorpe we are interested in just one thing, building an online community which is representative of the people of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire and the surrounding area.
